Light-activated protection for interior surfaces

A transparent, water-based mineral coating designed to create an active TiO2 surface and support cleaner, easier-to-maintain interiors.

Photocatalytic technology

An ultra-thin surface layer powered by light

CleanShield Indoor Coating is applied as a fine, transparent film to suitable walls, ceilings and other prepared surfaces.

The historical product catalogue describes a water-based coating containing titanium dioxide. When the treated surface receives suitable natural or artificial light, photocatalytic reactions generate an oxidative effect at the surface. This is intended to break down selected organic contaminants that reach the active layer.

The treatment is normally installed by trained applicators using controlled spraying equipment. Correct cleaning, substrate preparation, dosage, coverage and curing are essential to the finished result.

  • Transparent, water-based mineral technology
  • Light-activated surface action
  • Designed for long-term surface programmes
  • Can support simpler routine cleaning and odour management

Evidence linked to specific samples and conditions

EN 14476 Vaccinia test

A 2021 Eurovir examination reported virucidal activity against Modified Vaccinia Ankara for the tested sample at specified product concentrations, clean conditions, 20°C and 60 minutes.

Hospital surface follow-up

A hospital field report documented follow-up microbiological sampling on five high-touch surfaces ten days after application.

University laboratory report

A 2020 university report evaluated a submitted TiO2 sample under controlled laboratory conditions. The complete protocol is available for technical review.

Municipal building project

A Znojmo City Hall report documented cleaning, TiO2 application and follow-up measurements across administrative areas.

Flammability comparison

A comparative test on selected aircraft interior samples concluded that coating treatment did not influence the flammability of the delivered samples.

Air and odour focus

Supporting material describes photocatalytic breakdown of selected VOC and NOx pollutants and odour-causing organic compounds.

Relevant environments

For interiors where maintenance and experience matter

Healthcare

Treatment rooms, shared areas and high-touch surfaces within a validated hygiene programme.

Hospitality

Guest rooms, bathrooms, restaurants and common areas where appearance, odour and cleaning efficiency matter.

Public facilities

Schools, offices, transport, retail, sports facilities and other busy indoor environments.

Interpretation matters

The uploaded reports strengthen the technical story, but each result belongs to the tested product sample, method, concentration, contact time and environmental conditions.

Laboratory suspension tests, surface field measurements and photocatalytic coating performance are different forms of evidence and should not be presented as interchangeable. Before making a health, disinfectant, antiviral, air-purification or durability claim, confirm that it is supported by the current formulation, complete report and applicable local law.
